SNOWDON TREK – SUNDAY 5th JULY 2026
Our 5th Snowdon Trek. It’s a really fun weekend and we’d love if more of you could join us this year rasising funds for Lemnos Shelter.
Your past kindness and generosity has made an enormous difference to the lives of the dogs at the shelter. Thanks to you many of the dogs are now living in more sociable open pens in little family groups. There’s still so much work to be done so if you are able to please donate again the dogs and the stressed-out volunteers will be forever grateful.

This trek is not just a fundraiser, it’s also about raising awareness for the plight of shelter dogs everywhere. We’re taking banners with photos of the dogs who’ve already been adopted in the hope we might see more dogs re-homed.

Some of the trekkers will be in optional fancy dress, some will be dressed as dogs. We hope several more shelters will send someone to represent them and raise money for their shelter.
We are arrring in Betws-y-coed on Saturday 4th July and will meet up with everyone that evening. There are many hotels and B&Bs for all budgets right in the centre.
On Sunday 5th July we plan to leave Betws-y-coed on the 10am bus for the short ride to the start of the Pyg-Miners track.
At the end of the trek we will be waiting with celebratory drinks for you in the centre of Betws-y-coed.

The trek is approximately 7.5 miles and should take experienced trekkers around 4 hours in good weather and for those less experienced 6/7 hours plus.
If the trek sounds a bit daunting and you’d like something more relaxed then please join some of us on the train to the summit where we will meet the trekkers as in previous years.
In 2024 Aris flew the flag for Lemnos Dog Shelter and made the trek look effortless, but please note that all dogs joining us need to be very fit and used to hikes like this.
If you’d like to join us this year please message Fiona fiona@starlightbarking.co.uk or Wendy wendy@starlightbarking.co.uk
