About Alice

Beautiful Alice and her 5 siblings were rescued from the local military base. We don’t know anything about the little family prior to their rescue – and we don’t know who their parents are. But they seem to be a setter mix and have all the characteristics of the breed. Alice is the lightest coloured of the little family – a little beauty.

Alice is estimated to be 3 months old, and will grow to be a medium sized girl of 15-20 kilos. As a setter mix, she will thrive best with a very active family who understand how to stimulate a lively breed as hers. She would love to live in a rural environment, preferably with a secure garden to play in. She will be a wonderful addition to most families if she is trained and supported the way a puppy should be.

As with all puppies, Alice’s future family needs to be ready for sleepless nights, pee and poo everywhere, scratched furniture, chewed shoes, long days of learning to be home alone and of course, training to walk on a lead. Right now, she is very well socialised with other dogs and cats, but more training will be needed to make sure she doesn’t develop bad habits and continues to be a happy and social dog. Her future family also needs to commit to sterilising her as soon as she reaches sexual maturity – we tolerate zero breeding with our dogs and don’t agree with them battling with unnecessary hormones throughout their lives if not sterilised.

Alice is first available to leave the shelter for adoption at the beginning of July when she turns 16 weeks old, in accordance with EU law.

I’m an adorable, soft girl, who gets on well with everyone. I’d love a garden out in the country to spend my days playing in!
