Adorable little Ariadne is in foster with Foteini at the moment, having arrived at the shelter in a very bad condition. Some locals informed us that a small size dog was living wild in a village close by, and badly needed help but they couldn’t catch her. When they finally managed to catch her, they brought her at the shelter – and she was such a sad way. Clearly, she hadn’t had good experiences with people and was in a complete panic, snapping and trying to bite us in pure terror.

As we only manage to visit the shelter a few times a week, we knew she couldn’t learn to trust so us during that time, so we decided it was best if one of us could foster her, and so she went home with Foteini. In her loving home, she has blossomed by the second – no biting, no aggression whatsoever. She clearly needs a very calm home, without kids or other dogs. She does fine with Foteini’s dog and cat, but we think she would love to have all the attention just for herself – and let’s be honest – she deserves it! As for kids, she is trying to trust Foteini’s son Victor, and they are becoming friends. But Victor is very wise when it comes to animals, and we can see she struggles to trust him completely, so we think it’s easiest if she doesn’t live with children.

Adriadne would love to live with an older person or couple, in a calm countryside home with a secure garden. She is estimated to be 7 years old and weighs 3.7 kilos. Everyday, she is showing us just how sweet, kind and affectionate she can be, so we really hope that we find her dream family to give her the chance to continue to blossom.
