Adorable little Candis is the sweetest and cutest small dog you could hope to meet – unless you’re a cat – those guys are fun to chase and bark at! At just 1.5 years old and weighing just 6 kilos, she was recently surrendered to the shelter by her family with her son Doughnut.

To tell the truth, instead of being angry with this family, they actually broke our hearts. They were crying and devastated when leaving the dogs, but felt we could find them families that could give the dogs better life-experiences than they could.

It’s also clear that Candis was brought up with a lot of love. She’s a very loving and well behaved small lady, who deserves the best family in the world. As she is used to life in a quiet village, we will not rehome her to a city. She is fine with the other dogs at the shelter and loves to be with people.

Although Candis is an adult dog, her future family will need to start everything as if she was a pup in terms of toilet training and other basic commands. But she is a little sweetheart, and we hope his dream family is out there!
