Lucy is 18 kilos and she is an angel. She is one of our recent arrivals, and is about 4-5 years old. Imagine, this poor sweet girl has spent her entire life chained on a farm.

So, Lucy came to us with another adult female called Eva. They both had an owner who recently called us, asking for help him with his dogs. He had four females, each who were giving birth very often. And he had a new litter of pups from one. We persuaded him to let us take two of the females and sterilize all four – and also rehome the pups. So the two dogs we took were Lucy and Eva.

We believe the man cares for his dogs, but it had gotten out of control. At least he asked for help… The only dog chained was poor Lucy, as he hoped she’d be ‘a guard dog’ – and goodness, she could NEVER do that. You see, Lucy is a sweetheart and a very friendly girl whose tail never stops wagging. She’s shy and first but you quickly get to see her amazing character!

As you can see in the photos, Lucy was a bit unsure of the camera! But we’ll take new ones soon so you can see how sweet she is!

Lucy is not suitable for life in a city. She lived deep in the countryside and longs for a quiet home.
