Ever since Prudence was a little puppy, she has been chained by her owner. When the owner died, the neighbours were going to continue looking after Prudence and another dog, but they got tired of it and contacted Lemnos Dog Shelter.
There she is safe and no longer chained, but life at a shelter is tough and we hope that her situation soon will change and that she will be adopted and get a home of her own.
Prudence is a young dog about 2 years old and relatively small at 9.9 kilos.
She is a bit shy and cautious – not strange at all with her background. She is indeed a little lady; kind, caring and sweet. She has a gentle and cozy character. Despite her background, she seeks contact with people and wants so much to be petted. She kind of has a “dignified” aura; careful and modest.
She needs a quiet home outside the city environment; perhaps with an elderly person/an elderly couple. If there is a calm and safe dog that can show her and help her settle in her new life, that would be positive (but not a requirement).
She probably shouldn’t live with children, because they might stress her out.
She works well with other dogs and is kind to the cats at the shelter.
Prudence has never lived indoors and although she is clean and prefers not to pee or poo in her box, you can expect that there is a lot she needs to learn about what life in a home looks like.
She’s neutered, fully vaccinated and ready to travel!
Do you have the home for little Prudence?
