Rusty and his two brothers were rescued by a woman who heard their heartbreaking cries, coming from a deep ravine. Fortunately, she managed to rescue all three from their plight and brought them to the shelter. All three recovered from their adventure, Black and Blue were re-homed but poor Rusty wasn’t the lucky pup and he’s still here!
Rusty is about 2 years old and a real cutie, so it’s very easy to fall in love with him! He’s a little shy until he gets to know you but otherwise is playful, friendly and absolutely delightful and we’re very sure that he can be a wonderful addition to a home if only he gets the chance.
As so often with our Greek dogs, we have no idea about Rusty’s background; where he comes from, how he ended up in the ravine or who his parents are. What we do know is that he is a happy, social boy, who works very well with people, with the dogs in the shelter and even with the cats. Rusty is exactly how a dog should be – playful, curious, mischievous and affectionate. He loves to play with his friends and explore the shelter.
We believe that Rusty’s future family should be relatively active and like to include their dog in their activities to ensure he gets physical and mental stimulation daily.
His future family must also be prepared to continue teaching him everything about life in a home. But with love, time, patience and the right training, we are absolutely sure that Rusty will make a lucky family very happy.
