Velvet was one of the twenty dogs chained 24/7 on a farm. She has blossomed at the shelter, has finally learned to trust humans and is ready for adoption.

Her only puppy, Queenie, has already found a loving home. We hope that Velevet will soon be lucky.

Velvet is still quite shy and will need a calm home without children. She must’ve spent her life protecting herself from the pack so is quite wary of other dogs. She will need an understanding home to give her time to realsise that not all dogs impose a threat to her.
