Hebe was the most gentle and uncomplicated dog. She loved to snuffle about in the garden, nose down to the grass, and especially loved the warm sun on her soft fur. She had such a short time after I adopted her but each day was a joy.
She loved going on walks despite having to go really slowly as she had lost her sight. Her trust in me that I would not steer her wrong was an honour.
She was so good all the time – at the groomers, at her frequent visits to the vets and around the house with the other four-legged family members.
Losing Hebe so soon after her adoption was hard to take but I feel that even for that short time – she knew she was loved and she enjoyed the safety and comfort of a home.
